Job Description
Li'l Abner Foundation | Youth Martial Arts Program Li'l Abner Foundation is seeking a dedicated Taekwondo Instructor to join our growing youth programs in the Palmetto Bay area . We are looking for a leader who embodies martial arts values, enjoys working with young people, and can help us build a positive, formative training environment. About the Role Our Taekwondo program is designed to develop character, discipline, respect, confidence, and basic self‑defense skills . We are not focused on high‑performance athletic development; instead, we emphasize education, personal growth, and rank advancement through structured training. Requirements 18+ years old Black Belt 1st or 2nd Dan (preferably Kukkiwon certified) Experience teaching children and teens Ability to follow class plans, curriculum, and program guidelines Strong communication skills with students and parents Comfortable using email, text messaging, attendance systems, and basic reporting tools Reliable, punctual, and professional Team‑oriented and able to work under the supervision of our Program Director Responsibilities Teach 3 hours per day, 3 days per week Maintain accurate attendance rosters Provide brief student evaluations to track progress Submit monthly reports on student development Promote a safe, respectful, and encouraging training environment Reinforce Taekwondo values: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self‑control, and indomitable spirit Support students in rank advancement and foundational skill development Communicate effectively with parents and the Foundation's leadership team What We Offer Fair hourly compensation via direct deposit A supportive, mission‑driven environment Opportunities to grow within our youth programs A structured curriculum and guidance from our Program Director Ideal Candidate Traits Passionate about youth development Patient, energetic, and positive Organized and detail‑oriented Professional appearance and demeanor Able to manage groups of students with confidence and care Committed to maintaining high standards of safety and respect If you are a motivated instructor who wants to make a meaningful impact in the community, we'd love to hear from you.
