Child Care Afterschool Teacher/Driver Kids Village-Sanford Job Type:

Part-Time or Full-Time (depending on availability)

Competitive, based on experience Job Summary Kids Village-Sanford is seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic Afterschool Teacher/Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for safely transporting school-age children from local elementary schools to our center and providing a fun, safe, and engaging afterschool environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, has excellent communication skills, and is committed to maintaining a safe and positive atmosphere. Responsibilities Safely transport children from local elementary schools to the childcare center using a company vehicle. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain transportation logs. Ensure all children are properly secured with seat belts and follow all Florida childcare transportation regulations. Supervise children at all times and maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios. Plan and lead age-appropriate activities including homework assistance, arts and crafts, games, and outdoor play. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Communicate professionally with parents and staff regarding children's daily activities and behavior. Follow all DCF licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and center policies. Respond appropriately to emergencies and complete incident reports when necessary. Assist with snack service, classroom organization, and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old . High school diploma or GED required. DCF 45 hours

REQUIRED

Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to meet Florida DCF Level 2 Background Screening requirements. Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience working with school-age children preferred. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous childcare or afterschool program experience. Experience driving a childcare van or bus. Florida Child Care Training completed or willingness to complete required training.
