Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Bus Driver and After-School Teacher. This versatile role combines the responsibility of safely transporting children to and from school or activities with engaging in educational and recreational activities that promote childhood development. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and passionate about working with children, ensuring their safety while fostering a positive learning environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives through responsible transportation and inspiring educational support. Responsibilities Safely operate school buses or activity vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols. Supervise children during transportation, ensuring proper behavior and child supervision at all times. Assist in loading and unloading children, providing support for those with special needs or additional assistance requirements. Plan, develop, and facilitate engaging after-school programs, including youth group activities, arts, crafts, sports, and educational games. Maintain a safe environment by implementing behavior management strategies and following first aid protocols when necessary. Conduct regular safety checks on vehicles and activity spaces to ensure compliance with safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children to promote a positive experience for all participants. Skills Proven experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings. Strong classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques. Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols. Experience with special education needs or childhood development programs is highly desirable. Ability to lead outdoor activities and work comfortably in outdoor environments. Excellent child supervision skills coupled with patience and empathy. Demonstrated team leadership abilities and experience facilitating youth group activities or teaching young children. Knowledge of tutoring techniques, daycare operations, babysitting experience, or theater experience related to working with students is a plus. Pay:
$12.00 - $16.00 per hour
