Contract Motorcycle Safety Instructor Brookring Federal - 5.0 Barksdale AFB, LA Job Details Contract 1 hour ago Qualifications Coaching Motorcycle License Full Job Description Overview Contract Motorcycle Safety Instructor - Barksdale Air Force Base We are seeking a qualified Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) certified instructor to deliver motorcycle operator training courses at Barksdale Air Force Base (AFB), Louisiana. The instructor will play a key role in ensuring military personnel and other authorized participants comply with Department of Defense and Air Force motorcycle safety training requirements.
Responsibilities:
Deliver MSF-approved Basic Rider, Advanced Rider (ARC), and Refresher Rider courses at Barksdale AFB or approved MSF training areas. Prepare and conduct classroom and practical riding sessions in accordance with MSF and Air Force standards. Maintain an active MSF Rider Education Recognition Program (RERP) credential. Ensure all training is conducted safely, adhering to MSF and Air Force guidelines, including maintaining appropriate trainer-to-student ratios (no more than 6:1, maximum 12 students per riding session). Coordinate with the company and the base's Safety Office regarding course scheduling, rosters, and reporting. Issue completion cards and provide documentation for all students within three days of course completion. Maintain required insurance coverage and comply with all contract and base access requirements. Provide alternate training arrangements in the event of class cancellations due to weather, minimum student requirements, or mission needs.
Qualifications:
Current MSF certification for Basic Rider Course and Advanced Rider Course Coach. Demonstrated experience instructing motorcycle safety courses. Knowledge of current MSF curriculum and Air Force/DoD traffic safety requirements is strongly preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain access to Barksdale AFB (background check and security clearance as required). Strong communication and organizational skills. Valid driver's license with motorcycle endorsement.
Work Schedule:
Classes are typically scheduled between 0800-1700, Monday through Friday. No work on federal holidays. Work is on a contract basis, with the number of courses taught based on government scheduling needs.
