We welcome both experienced instructors and candidates who are newer to teaching. Taekwondo black belt experience is required , but previous teaching experience is preferred rather than required. Training and support will be provided. Our ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates comfortably with students and parents, and is interested in growing as a Taekwondo instructor. For full-time team members, we also offer opportunities for professional development and advancement into management. Responsibilities Teach and assist with Taekwondo classes for children, teens, and adults Create a positive, energetic, and safe class environment Help students develop discipline, confidence, and proper Taekwondo technique Communicate professionally and positively with students and parents Assist with birthday parties, belt promotions, camps, demonstrations, and outside events Help with basic studio organization and day-to-day tasks as needed Full-time employees may gradually take on additional studio operations and management responsibilities based on performance and interest
Qualifications Required:
Taekwondo black belt Enjoys working with children and is patient, energetic, and encouraging Responsible, punctual, and dependable Able to communicate in basic conversational English Willing and able to work at both our Manhattan and Fort Lee locations
Preferred:
Previous Taekwondo teaching experience Kukkiwon certification Korean language ability Experience working with children Interest in developing a long-term career in Taekwondo instruction or studio management Candidates with strong Taekwondo backgrounds but limited teaching experience are encouraged to apply. We are willing to train the right person.
Schedule Typical Hours Monday-Friday:
approximately 2:00 PM-8:00
PM Saturday:
approximately 8:30 AM-1:30
PM Sunday:
Closed Full-Time:
Guaranteed 40-hour weekly pay. Regular scheduled working hours may be less than 40 hours during some weeks, while camps, events, and other special weeks may require additional hours.
Part-Time:
Flexible schedule based on availability. Saturday availability is strongly preferred. During the summer, work may include Taekwondo classes and/or summer camp.
Compensation Starting pay:
$17/hour Increased to $19/hour after a successful 60-day introductory period Performance-based bonus opportunities for eligible full-time employees Guaranteed 40-hour weekly pay for full-time employees Full-Time Benefits & Professional Development We want our full-time instructors to continue developing both professionally and as martial artists.

Strong full-time instructors may have the opportunity to advance into a Manager role , with increased responsibility in studio operations, staff coordination, events, student management, and overall program development. Our Locations Our schools are located in: Upper West Side, Manhattan, NY Fort Lee, NJ Both locations are conveniently accessible by public transportation. A car is not required .
