Minimum Qualifications Commitment to serving diverse student populations and non-traditional learners. Ability to effectively teach in online, hybrid, hyflex, and/or face-to-face learning environments. Experience with online instruction, instructional technologies, or Quality Matters standards (leans toward experience but is typically treated as a functional competency/skill in postings). Demonstrated commitment to innovation, inclusive teaching, mentorship, and applied learning practices. •Virginia State University requires that faculty be appropriately credentialed to teach assigned courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. VSU demonstrates compliance with its Faculty Credentialing Policy #2301 for all applicable education, experience, licensure and certification requirements in the selection and hiring of its faculty. Additional Considerations Prior teaching experience in a higher education environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency and experience in using instructional technologies and learning management systems (e.g., Banner/Blackboard) with an ability to use technology to enhance the teaching and educational experience. Demonstrated ability to assess and align student outcomes within courses or programs.
