Job Description

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent and passing score on ParaPro Exam. OR Completion of 60 credit hours or an Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
: Associates degree. One (1) year of related experience. Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy minimum qualifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; organizational and management skills. Knowledge of general policies and procedures for the functional area of assignment. Knowledge of HIPAA, Public Records, Sunshine Law, FERPA, and other laws/regulations related to student and employee privacy, public information, and records retention. Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers, and applications. Ability to professionally and effectively respond to customer needs and requests for service or assistance.

01/26/2026 Responsibilities Assist in the instructional process by working with students individually or in small groups, supplementing regular instruction and implementing teacher-developed lesson plans under the direct supervision of an instructional staff member. Assist in the preparation, organization, and use of instructional aids, materials, and technology as directed. Work with the teacher to reinforce positive learning and behavior patterns among students. Assist students in the development of study skills necessary for learning and in the achievement of instructional objectives. Support parental involvement activities. Demonstrate understanding and respect of individual students culture and interests. Maintain confidentiality and comply with laws and policies concerning confidentiality of student information. Perform related clerical and recordkeeping duties as directed. Adhere to safety procedures. Provide support in a computer laboratory, library/media center, and/or other learning facilities when appropriate. Assist in implementation of a students Individual Education Plan (IEP). Act as a translator if able and as appropriate. Monitor student behavior/activity in the cafeteria and other campus locations with the support of administrators and/or teachers. Perform Medicaid administrative claims reimbursable activities as directed in accordance with Chapter 3 of the federally approved School District Administrative Claiming (SDAC) Guide.
