Lower Elementary Gifted Teacher

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lower Elementary Gifted Teacher to inspire and nurture young gifted learners in the 1st-3rd grade setting. This role involves designing engaging, challenging curricula tailored to advanced learners, fostering a love of learning, and supporting their social-emotional development. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and expertise in differentiated instruction to create an enriching classroom that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and academic excellence. As a vital member of our educational team, you will collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents to enhance student success. Duties Develop and implement innovative curriculum tailored to gifted students in lower elementary grades Design and deliver engaging lessons in core subjects that challenge students' abilities and promote higher-order thinking skills Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, analyzing performance data to inform instructional strategies and differentiate learning experiences Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and social-emotional support Communicate regularly with parents through conferences, reports, and email Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques as needed to support diverse learner needs within the gifted program. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field; advanced certification or training in gifted education is preferred. Proven experience teaching young children in an elementary school setting, especially with gifted or advanced learners. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, learning styles adaptability, and differentiated instruction methods. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, educational technology integration, and standardized testing practices. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and parent engagement. Experience working with children with diverse needs including special education considerations is highly desirable. Demonstrated skills in behavior management, classroom organization, and student performance data analysis.
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
