The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a positive learning environment for young learners and will be committed to promoting academic and social growth in students. This role requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to engage students in a dynamic and supportive classroom setting. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and a love for learning. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including observations, tests, and assignments, and communicate results to parents and guardians. Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and administration to enhance the educational experience for all students. Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Provide individualized support and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of all students. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices. Prepare and organize classroom materials and resources to facilitate effective learning experiences. Supervise students during recess, lunch, and other school activities as required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification or license for elementary education. Previous experience teaching Grade 1 or similar age group preferred. Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school community. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning. Commitment to creating an inclusive and equitable classroom environment. Ability to pass background checks and comply with school district policies.
