The Christian Elementary School Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality academic instruction while nurturing students' spiritual, social, emotional, and physical development. The teacher integrates biblical principles into daily lessons and classroom interactions, serving as a positive Christian role model who supports the mission and values of the school.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Spiritual Leadership
Demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian living.
Integrate biblical truths and Christian values into all subject areas and classroom activities.
Lead students in daily prayer, Bible lessons, worship, and devotion times.
Encourage students to develop Christ-like character traits.
Support and uphold the school's statement of faith and mission. Instructional Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state standards and the school's curriculum.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and educational technology.
Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials in a timely manner. Classroom Management
Establish and maintain a safe, orderly, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
Implement positive behavior management strategies rooted in biblical principles.
Foster mutual respect and responsibility among students. Student Development
Support the academic, emotional, social, and spiritual growth of each student.
Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a love of learning.
Monitor student well-being and communicate concerns appropriately.
Celebrate student achievements and progress. Communication and Collaboration
Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
Collaborate effectively with administrators, faculty, and support staff.
Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and required trainings. School Community Involvement
Support school programs, chapels, field trips, and extracurricular activities as assigned.
Serve as a positive ambassador for the school community.
Participate in committees and additional duties as requested by administration. Qualifications
Teaching Certification preferred, but not required.
