The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a challenging and supportive learning environment for fifteen students ages 8-10.. This role involves developing lesson plans, implementing educational activities, and fostering a love for learning among young learners. The teacher will work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community to support each child's academic and social development. Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Assess student progress through student portfolios, MAP data, and informal assessments. Provide individualized support to students. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters respect. Collaborate with colleagues on educational initiatives and share best practices in education administration. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends. Experience A degree in Elementary Education or a related field is required; teaching certification preferred. Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential. Familiarity with early childhood education principles is a plus. Knowledge of special education practices is beneficial. Previous experience in private school settings is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong skills in math instruction and lesson planning are highly valued. Proficiency in utilizing learning technology to enhance classroom experiences.
