Elementary Teachers — Grades 1-6 | Expanding Programs Life International Academy |
Tampa, Florida Lower Elementary:
Grades 1-3 |
Upper Elementary:
Grades 4-6 Full-Time | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM (Lunch break and daily planning time) $45,000-$60,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications Grow with LIFE. Life International Academy is expanding its elementary programs and accepting applications from creative, caring educators interested in joining our current teaching team. We are connecting with qualified candidates for upcoming opportunities in our lower and upper elementary multi-age classrooms. Positions and start dates will depend on enrollment and program growth. We welcome teachers from traditional public and private schools, Montessori, IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), and project-based learning backgrounds . Montessori certification is not required. Training and mentorship are available for qualified candidates excited to teach through hands-on learning, inquiry, and real-world experiences. Our small private school sits on a beautiful three-acre nature-based campus. Students build strong academic foundations while exploring gardening, sustainability, entrepreneurship, outdoor education, and practical life skills. Our Classrooms Lower Elementary, Grades 1-3: Approximately 20 students with a full-time classroom assistant Upper Elementary, Grades 4-6: Small groups of approximately 10-12 students Multi-age learning environments that encourage independence, collaboration, and individualized instruction What You'll Do Teach engaging lessons in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Develop weekly lesson plans, hands-on activities, and meaningful projects. Adapt instruction to individual learning needs and Diffrentiate grade-level expectations. Connect academics with outdoor exploration, practical life skills, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Build a calm, respectful classroom that supports independence and responsibility. Assess progress, maintain student records, and communicate regularly with families. Use

assessments to support student growth; training provided. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and professional development. Who We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in education or a related field Experience teaching elementary-aged students; three or more years preferred Strong academic instruction, classroom management, and positive behavior guidance Creativity in planning engaging lessons, projects, and hands-on activities Ability to support different learning levels within a multi-age classroom Strong organization, communication, and collaboration skills Interest in nature-based and experiential education Willingness to learn new teaching approaches and participate in training Comfort using Google Workspace and digital tools for planning and documenting progress Teacher certification, Montessori training, IB PYP experience, or project-based learning experience is a plus. Experienced traditional classroom teachers who bring creativity and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Candidates must pass a background screening and be authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is unavailable.
