Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic 1st Grade Teacher to inspire and educate young learners in a vibrant classroom environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across core subjects such as Math, Literacy, Science, and Social Studies. Utilize innovative educational technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding of complex concepts like Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Learning Styles Adaptability. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for students with diverse needs. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation and instructional modifications tailored to individual learning styles. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment methods to ensure cohesive educational delivery. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievements, challenges, and behavioral concerns through parent-teacher conferences and written reports. Support students' social-emotional development by mentoring them in areas such as childhood development, sports coaching experience, and extracurricular activities like physical education or library services. Requirements Proven teaching experience at the primary school level or working with children in educational settings; prior high school teaching experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of core academic subjects including Math (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus), Literacy Education, Creative Writing, and Science. Familiarity with curriculum implementation standards such as the Chicago Manual of Style (for writing) and AP Style (for communication). Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with the ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles and special education needs. Experience integrating educational technology tools for instruction and assessment purposes. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Ability to perform instructional modifications based on individual student needs while maintaining compliance with educational regulations. Knowledge of childhood development principles along with experience working with students with special education requirements or from diverse backgrounds is highly desirable.
