The Role The Lead Teacher guides a multi-age Montessori classroom — planning and delivering standards-aligned instruction rooted in Montessori materials and philosophy, building a prepared environment where independence and deep work can flourish, and forming the relationships with students, families, and colleagues that make it all possible. This is a full-time, exempt, academic-year position. We're currently hiring for Lower Elementary (grades 1-2) . GMA's grade bands are: Early Childhood (ages 3-6 / Pre-K-K) Lower Elementary (grades 1-2) Middle Elementary (grades 3-4) Upper Elementary (grades 5-6) All Lead Teachers share the same core responsibilities and standards, with level-specific expectations noted as needed.
