Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lower School Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love of education. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning styles and needs. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective behavior management strategies and engaging teaching methods. Monitor student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments, analyzing student performance data to inform instruction. Integrate educational technology tools to enhance learning experiences and support individualized learning plans. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school initiatives, and student support strategies, including special education and early intervention programs. Communicate effectively with parents through regular updates, conferences, and written reports to support student success. Support students' social-emotional development by mentoring, providing guidance, and implementing inclusive practices for children with autism or other special needs. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress while ensuring compliance with educational regulations. Incorporate library services and literacy education techniques to promote reading skills across grade levels. Participate in professional development opportunities focused on childhood development, Montessori methods, or other educational frameworks to continually enhance teaching skills. Experience Proven classroom experience in elementary or lower school settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Experience working with young children from diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Demonstrated ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles and developmental levels using differentiated instruction techniques. Familiarity with curriculum implementation across core subjects such as math, literacy, writing, science, and social studies. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and student performance data analysis to support academic growth initiatives. Previous experience working in private schools or Montessori environments is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and team-based teaching approaches. Experience utilizing learning technology platforms for lesson planning, assessment tracking, and student engagement. Ability to manage classrooms efficiently while fostering a nurturing environment conducive to active learning.
