Job Description

Coloma Community Schools 4th Grade Teacher 26-27
School Year Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at Coloma Intermediate School as a full-time 4th Grade Teacher. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in elementary education, a passion for teaching young children, and a desire to contribute to the success of our school.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students Create a positive and safe classroom environment that fosters learning and growth Assess and evaluate student progress on a regular basis using a variety of methods Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide events and initiatives Attend and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and behavior Perform other duties as assigned by the administration Participate in New Teacher Academy at CCS, One meeting per month after school 4pm-6pm, first 2 years of employment at CCS as a teacher
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education from an accredited college or university Applicant must be Highly Qualified and Endorsed for this position with a Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (K-5 all subjects (ZC, ZG or ZP)) Prior experience teaching elementary education preferred Strong knowledge of elementary education curriculum and instructional strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain a positive and safe classroom environment for all students.
