The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Montessori principles and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. This role involves working closely with children aged 3 to 6 years, guiding their development through hands-on activities and individualized instruction. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum and activities that promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children. Create a warm, inviting classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence. Observe and assess children's progress, adapting lessons and activities to meet individual needs and interests. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open communication regarding children's development and classroom activities. Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience across the Montessori program. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and community events as required. Uphold Montessori principles and philosophy in all interactions with children and families. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred. Montessori certification (AMI or AMS) or willingness to pursue certification. Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a Montessori setting. Completion of any mandatory licensing requirements or trainings for 3 and 4 year old students Strong understanding of child development and Montessori principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students.
