Job Description

The Goddard School® is a renowned program with a Piaget (Learning through Play) based foundation and a leader in the franchised preschool industry which is growing and continues to set the standard for excellence. The focus of the program is to provide a life-long love of learning. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs. They are highly qualified childhood educators who are able to use their creativity and the Goddard Developmental Guidelines as the basis for unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way. The Goddard School of Easton, PA is seeking degree candidates in elementary education. Must have at least 2 years of classroom experience with Kindergarten and First Grade students as a nurturing and caring teacher. Impressive preferences, recommendations; enthusiastic, energetic, and a team-players, who is flexible. Must also be a nurturing and caring teacher who genuinely enjoys working with children. An excellent customer service skill towards parents and staff is also a priority.
Kindergarten Teacher daily duties include:
Developing lesson plans. Complete all grading, create report cards and conduct parent conferences in a timely manner Meeting the individual's needs of the children Manage regional field trips and make efforts to integrate trips into the curriculum. Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level. Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills. Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff. Committing to continuing education. Participation in staff and training meetings. Required to keep track of attendance Building teamwork. Using assessment tools. Administer annual standardize testing Participate in the organization and administration of the State Testing, as directed Participate in student recruiting sessions and other marketing efforts that require teacher representation. Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to given lessons to increase student understanding (working directly with parents and students). Attend field trips and other community activities implemented for families. Other duties as assigned.
Kindergarten Teacher's Requirements:
• Bachelors degree required in early childhood or elementary education Pennsylvania Teacher Certification (K-3 or elementary) Minimum 1 years of experience in Kindergarten classroom and/or first grade of state of Pennsylvania licensed school. 2+ years of experience a big plus.
