Our compensation model recognizes teacher skill, growth, and classroom impact, not simply years of experience. After their first year, eligible teachers may qualify for 5% up to 10% annual salary increases based on their impact in the classroom, without needing additional graduate coursework. The Opportunity We are always open to meeting skilled, student-centered educators who may be a strong fit for future Elementary Teacher positions. Philadelphia's education community is a small world, and we value building relationships with excellent teachers, even when we do not have an immediate opening. In grades K-2, teachers typically teach literacy, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional learning. In grades 3-5, teachers may specialize in ELA, Math, or Science/Social Studies. Teachers use EL Education, Eureka² Math, and Responsive Classroom practices to create rigorous, joyful, and inclusive classrooms.
