POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Principal, teach content and skills in English language, reading, literature and composition, utilizing California State Standards.
DUTIES - E
=Essential Duties Provides individual or small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of students and accommodates circumstances where a variety of projects are being worked on simultaneously E; establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior for a productive learning environment during class sessions and field trips E; communicates with parents and school counselors on pupil progress E; participates in faculty committees and sponsorship of student activities E other responsibilities as detailed in the Albany Teacher Job Description E; other duties as assigned E; selects books and instructional aids to achieve instructional goals and behavioral objectives E; adapts material and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments that guide and challenge pupils E; participates in curriculum and other developmental programs within the school and on the district level E;
