BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Under the direction of the school administrator and/or his designee, as part of a secondary teaching assignment, the teacher will teach one or more classes of English or related subjects to pupils in grades 7-12.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
CREDENTIALS:
. California Single Subject Credential
  • English or Supplemental Subject Matter Authorization
  • English .
Must meet ESEA Highly Qualified teacher requirements. . EL Authorization (BCLAD or CLAD)
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree with major or minor in English, including all courses needed to meet credential requirements.
PERSONAL
Appearance, grooming, and personality which establish a desirable example for pupils.
QUALITIES
Ability to meet district standards for physical and mental health. Must have proven ability to relate well with students, parents, administrators, and teachers. Must possess good judgment, knowledge of school and district policies, and ability to reinforce appropriate school behavior.
