About the Role Odyssey Charter School and Odyssey Preparatory Academy are seeking dedicated English Language Arts educators for grades 6-12. Our schools are rooted in a holistic, whole-child educational philosophy that supports strong academics, character development, and student well-being. Building on this foundation, we are actively working toward becoming a National Model for Healthy Schools, with a growing focus on Natural Health. Our Natural Health focus emphasizes nutrition awareness and education, physical activity, emotional well-being, and preventative wellness practices that support student learning. Florida-certified teachers and educators certified in other states are encouraged to apply. About Our Schools Founded in 1999, Odyssey Charter School (K-12) and Odyssey Preparatory Academy (K-5) are Cognia-accredited public charter schools serving approximately 2,400 students from Preschool through Grade 12 across two campuses on Florida's Space Coast. We are looking for exceptional teachers that want to support our mission in nurturing healthy, well-educated children. Responsibilities Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction Create a positive, structured classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) Use student data to inform instruction Communicate effectively with families Integrate health, wellness, and character education into instruction Participate in professional development and school initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Education or a related field Florida Teaching Certificate or eligibility for Florida certification through reciprocity Teaching experience at the middle or high school level Strong classroom management and communication skills Commitment to whole-child education; Montessori experience a plus Certification & Relocation Support We support both local and relocating educators and offer: Florida certification guidance, including reciprocity pathways Reimbursement for certification costs and 50% of fingerprinting fees $2,500 Relocation stipend (when applicable) Temporary housing partnerships (when available) Flexible start dates Guaranteed grade and subject placement clarity Virtual interviews and school tours Signing bonuses for select high-need areas (ESE & STEM) Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $51,000-$68,000 Medical insurance (85% employer-paid);dental and vision options available 401(k) with 5% employer match Life insurance, short-term disability, and Employee Assistance Program Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Paid time off Tuition reimbursement and professional development Mentoring and leadership opportunities Location Palm Bay, Florida — minutes from beaches, outdoor recreation, and the innovation hub of the Space Coast.
