The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, mentoring students, and utilizing various teaching methodologies to enhance student learning experiences. The Teacher will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic growth and personal development. Responsibilities Develop and implement curriculum that meets educational standards and student needs. Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate various teaching methods. Utilize learning technology to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement. Manage classroom dynamics effectively to promote a positive learning environment. Provide mentoring and tutoring support to students as needed. Conduct assessments and standardized testing to evaluate student progress. Collaborate with colleagues to develop instructional materials and strategies. Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration regarding academic progress. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; higher education teaching experience preferred. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design. Proficiency in writing skills, including copy editing and proofreading, with familiarity in AP style and the Chicago Manual of Style. Experience working with diverse student populations, including special education needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong organizational abilities. Classroom experience with behavior management techniques is essential. Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, creative writing, linguistics, and research methodologies is advantageous. Experience in private school settings or Montessori education is a plus. Ability to provide academic advising and support for students' educational journeys.
