Job Description
Full Time $50,000 - $100,100 per year Insight Online School Remote/Hybrid Eligible Posted 7/20/2026 The Brooklyn Center Community Schools (BCCS) District is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our teams at Insight Online and Early College Academy as an English Language Arts and Intervention Teacher . Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the diverse needs of students. Teach high school English Language Arts curriculum, including reading, writing, literature, and language skills, both in-person and online. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to enhance learning and accommodate different learning styles. Assess and evaluate student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and support for improvement. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and progress. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education and instructional technology. Collaborate with other educators and staff to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiatives. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation. Support students in developing their writing skills through workshops, peer reviews, and individualized feedback.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Experience teaching high school ELA, with a strong understanding of curriculum development and instructional strategies. Proficiency in using online learning platforms and technology to facilitate remote instruction. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Passion for literature and education, with a desire to inspire and motivate students.
Duty Days:
197 duty days, includes 8 paid holidays!
Qualifications:
MN Teaching licensure, 6-12 ELA license and Reading K-12
