PT ELA Instructor Opening Date:

04/04/2024 Description The College and Career Readiness (CCR) program seeks instructors to teach skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening for adult learners seeking to improve their English language proficiency. Specific responsibilities include planning, organizing, and developing lessons and units of instruction to help students improve functional and academic proficiency; providing ELA instruction for students in the College and Career Readiness program; monitoring student growth throughout each instructional session; and keeping necessary class records to document student attendance and progress.

Salary:

Based on education and experience. 5 - 15 hours per week, depending upon class schedule. Currently seeking daytime and evening instructors.

Open until filled. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year institution, required. A degree in education or a related field, preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience and/or TESOL certification are highly preferred. Supplemental Information Official transcripts, including other documentation verifying all reported educational qualifications, are required. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for application purposes. The successful candidate must provide official transcripts at his or her expense within thirty (30) days of being notified of selection.
