This role requires flexibility, cultural awareness, and a commitment to learner-centered teaching. Instructors collaborate with program staff, employers, and learners to ensure a quality curriculum plan and a positive classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing a curriculum specifically tailored to individual employer partners and specific programs to serve English learners at various English levels.
  • Assess learners' skills and progress using program tools and provides feedback to both learners and program coordinators.
  • Integrate workplace-specific vocabulary and scenarios to strengthen communication skills relevant to learners' jobs.
  • Create a supportive, respectful classroom environment that fosters participation, confidence, and skill-building.
  • Track attendance, learner progress, and submit required reports/documentation on time.
  • Collaborate with ICRI staff to ensure program quality and alignment with employer and other ESL site needs.

  • Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques for teaching English language skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Organizational skills to plan lessons, manage resources, and assess student progress
