All of our schools enjoy small class sizes (5-15 students) and a collegial work environment. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Secondary English Teacher to inspire and guide students through their journey of language mastery and literary exploration. This role involves delivering engaging lessons that foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for reading and writing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in English language arts, curriculum development, and educational technology integration, with a commitment to nurturing diverse learning styles and supporting student growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive English curriculum aligned with educational standards. Design engaging lesson plans that incorporate instructional design principles, learning technology, and diverse teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles Deliver compelling classroom instruction to students in grades 9-12, fostering a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques Incorporate IT-integrated lessons using educational technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding of complex concepts in social sciences, linguistics, and literacy education Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing timely feedback, tutoring, and academic advising to support individual learning needs Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, instructional strategies, and assessment methods to ensure consistency and educational excellence across grade levels Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance, behavior, and progress while maintaining transparency about academic expectations and achievements Skills Expertise in curriculum development for English language arts, including creative writing, literary analysis, and research projects Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and special education needs Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, parents, and administration Proven classroom management skills combined with organizational skills necessary for lesson planning, instructional design, and implementing educational compliance standards Background in working with teenagers across middle school or high school levels with a focus on literacy education and standardized testing preparation Join us in shaping the future by empowering students through innovative teaching practices! $51,520.98 - $62,046.77 per year
