Job Description

ENGLISH TEACHER
( Part-Time or Full-Time) Millbrook School seeks an English teacher beginning in the fall of 2026. This position can be structured as either part-time or full-time depending on the schedule you can commit to. Full-time teaching responsibilities will include three sections of English III and one section of an upperform English elective. Candidates should be prepared to teach students of all high school age levels. Prior teaching experience is preferred. B.A. in English or a related field is required. Millbrook's English department emphasizes skill development and serious engagement with literature through critical reading, analytical and creative writing, and discussion. We seek educators who value creating inclusive classrooms and curricula and who are committed to their continued growth as educators. The primary goal of a teaching faculty member is to ensure that each student achieves the highest potential possible . Energy for adolescents, adaptability, humor, and integrity are the hallmarks of Millbrook's faculty. Full-time faculty members are also expected to participate in two seasons of coaching or the equivalent, community service, evening responsibilities, activities, assemblies, attend required meetings and workshops, and serve as an advisor for up to six students. Housing may be provided and would include residential life duties. The salary range for a full-time position is $42,000-$90,000, and $30,000-$38,000 for part-time. The salary range for part-time roles is pro-rated, and the exact salary will be determined based on the final agreed-upon weekly schedule and workload requirements. When determining placement in the salary range, Millbrook School considers the percentage of a full-time role, total teaching experience, number of years working at Millbrook School, and other factors permitted by law.
