Job Description

Adjunct Faculty for
Environmental Science Salary:
$990/per Credit Trinity Washington University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach the following face-to-face course in Fall 2026:
ENVS 101
Discovering Planet Earth Lab Mondays 1:30-4:30 pm and/or the following face-to-face courses in Spring 2027:
ENVS 101
Discovering Planet Earth 2 lecture periods and 1 lab (time/day TBD)
ENVS 101
is a one-semester general education environmental science course for students in a variety of majors. Classes start on Monday, August 24, 2026.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master's degree from an accredited institution in environmental science, ecology, biology, geology, or a related discipline and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills. When Applying please submit a c.v. and cover letter addressing their qualifications and interest in the position by August 3, 2026 for priority consideration. Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching practices is ideal. Finalists will be invited to campus for an interview and teaching demonstration. Preference is given to candidates who demonstrate teaching excellence with engaged and active learning practices.
