Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA Department Information Mathematical Science Job Summary The Student Assistant will support the Department of Mathematical Science as a Classroom Assistant on the Statesboro Campus beginning Fall 2026. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period. Responsibilities Organizes subject-related material to assist students Attends class to assist in facilitating active learning Proctors computer-based skills tests Leads tutoring and review sessions Aids instructor with minimum amount of grading throughout the semester Shift Specifics Up to 9 hours per week Flexible with schedule of availability Must be able to work to the following shifts to assist in the classroom: Monday /

11:10 AM - 4:00 PM Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University. Preferred Qualifications Preferred Education Successful completion of

MATH 2008

(Foundations of Numbers and Operations), or an equivalent course, with a grade "B" or higher Currently pursuing a degree in Elementary/Middle Grades/SPED Education or a related field Proposed Salary $12.00 per hour This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
