ANNOUNCEMENT

Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for LACE (Learning Assistance Center for Excellence) assistants for the Radiologic Technology (RT) program. LACE assistants are hired on an as-needed basis. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as LACE assistant assignments become available.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

: LACE Assistants in the RT program are responsible for tutoring students in theory and application to assist students in developing competency in entry level skills required of a graduate Radiologic Technician. They support the assessment of student learning and report student progress to program coordinator and/or faculty.

QUALIFICATIONS

: 1. Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program and licensed/eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois. 2. Clinical practice in RT for a minimum of 1 year or equivalent experience. Clinical teaching experience preferred. 3. Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and counseling skills. 4. Knowledge in use of information technology.

STARTING SALARY

$20.37 per hour, up to 9 hours per week
