Embedded within the College of Health Sciences and Human Services, the Advanced Paramedicine program prepares experienced paramedics to expand their clinical knowledge and professional practice and to pursue opportunities in advanced clinical practice, education, leadership, research, and other healthcare professions. Adjunct instructors are responsible for teaching online courses in curricular areas related to advanced patient assessment and clinical reasoning, pathophysiology and physiology, pharmacology, advanced airway and ventilator management, trauma and critical care, maternal/fetal and pediatric medicine, advanced diagnostics and electrocardiography, toxicology, research, leadership, and other areas relevant to advanced paramedicine practice. Interested persons should submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, teaching philosophy statement (no more than 1-page in length), and a statement that articulates their approach to teaching or other initiatives designed to foster a sense of student engagement, community, and belonging (not to exceed 1-page in length). The letter of interest should identify the area(s) of the curriculum you are interested in teaching in along with an explanation of your qualifications to teach courses in that area(s). Master's degree or higher in Paramedicine, Emergency Medical Services, Health Sciences, Education, or a related field Professional experience and expertise relevant to the course(s) to be taught Experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level preferred Experience teaching online and familiarity with Canvas Learning Management System preferred
