Job Description

Located in Danville in the scenic East Bay Area, The Reutlinger Community provides comfortable accommodations and personalized care for up to 180 seniors. Newly renovated to better serve residents, The Reutlinger Community currently offers room and board in specialized Assisted Living, Enhanced Care, Memory Care and Rehabilitation. The Reutlinger Community is staffed by seasoned specialists with decades of experience in senior care and skilled nursing. Position Overview The Impact and Fundraising Coordinator is a mission-driven role focused on advancing The Reutlinger & Eskaton's core values through collaboration and strategic engagement. In addition to coordinating events and community giving initiatives, the role incorporates advanced philanthropic strategies, including major donor cultivation, legacy gift programs, and grant development. Success is measured by the ability to inspire sustained support, secure significant contributions, and strengthen donor relationships while ensuring alignment with The Reutlinger & Eskaton's mission. Essential Job Functions Event & Community Engagement
  • Developing, organizing and management impactful events for The Reutlinger Community Fundraising & Donor Relations
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, foundations and corporate partners. Strategic Philanthropy
  • Research, write and submit grant proposals; monitor and report on fundraising progress. Data & Reporting
  • Manage donor database systems and track contributions and donor engagement metrics. Marketing & Communications
  • Support and collaborate with the communications team for donor recognition and event publicity.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Fundraising, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
Experience:
5+ years in fundraising, event planning, donor relations, or related fields; experience with major donor strategy and grant writing strongly preferred. Experience working with boards, donors, and foundations in nonprofit settings. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor management software (e.g., DonorPerfect, Salesforce). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Passion for Eskaton's mission and serving older adults. Willingness to work evenings/weekends for events and donor engagements. The final candidate must successfully pass The Reutlinger Community's post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, TB screen test and health screen with or without back evaluation depending on position.
