Job Description

Athletic Director

EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED:

BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university in FLDOE certificate subject area

PREFERRED/DESIRED

Previous secondary Athletic Director experience Minimum of three (3) years documented Secondary Varsity coaching experience. College level coaching may substitute for High School coaching experience. Extensive knowledge of athletics at the competition level. Demonstrated leadership skills and the management of large groups of students/athletes and coaches. Previous experience in position(s) where responsibilities include preparing and managing a budget. Previous experience in position(s) where responsibilities include promoting good public relations with the general public, parent groups and meeting deadlines.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

REQUIRED:

Florida Instructional Certification (any subject)
