Are you passionate about educating the next generation of ultrasound technologist? We are searching for a Program Dean for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program.
Qualifications:
The Program Dean is responsible for leading a team of educators and clinical coordinators Master's Degree Preferred, Bachelors Required ARDMS Registry or specialization (OB/GYN) or (AB) or
RDCS/RCS
Is proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising, Experience with
CAAHEP/JRCDMS
implementation preferred The equivalent of three years of full-time clinical experience as a general sonographer, cardiac sonographer and/or vascular technologist A minimum of one year administrative experience in a medical imaging setting
Responsibilities:
The Program Dean is responsible for the structure as well as the daily operations of the program, including organization, administration, periodic review and evaluation, continued development of the program's effectiveness. Management of staff including instructors, adjunct faculty and clinical coordinators. Assumes the leadership role in the continued development of the program. Oversee the self-study accreditation process and maintain compliance by providing all pertinent information to JRCDMS and CAAHEP Oversee the marketing and coordination of clinical sites and conduct clinical orientation Attend seminars and meetings to keep abreast of current technology of industry and educational methodology. Orient students to the didactic and clinical phases of the program Quarterly visits to the clinical sites Chair of the Advisory Committee. Create, revise and implement various forms including program handbook, clinical handbook competency and evaluation forms Participate in formal didactic instruction Participate in budget preparation for overall effectiveness of program and learning resources
