The Mobile Clinic Navigation Specialist under general supervision performs mobile clinic duties including facilitation and implementation of the mobile clinic programs in the community. This position maintains an integral role in the operation of the mobile clinic which includes education and training of MCDH staff, MRC volunteers, and community organizations.
STARTING SALARY
$72,296.00 salary
HOURS:
37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30. With occasional evening and/or weekends as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plans and provides ongoing staff education regarding the operations of the mobile clinic Initiates outreach and provide educational presentations to professional and community groups regarding the mobile clinic Collaborates with community entities to provide mobile clinic events and organizational deliverables Instrumental in update and crafting mobile clinic operations specific to programs being offered in the mobile clinic Assures that required mobile clinic reports/reportable/statistic logs are maintained and submitted in accordance with guidelines and/or grant contracts Represents the department on various community task forces, coalitions, and committees to support the achievement of defined program goals and objectives Works with PIO collaboratively to create program materials including brochures, newsletters, questionnaires, memorandum of understandings, and form letters Acts as a resource expert of all programs offering services within the mobile clinic
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in health education, health-related field, or Public Health required MPH, MBA, or related master's degree preferred Understanding of principles/practices of the organization and administration of Public Health Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws, rules and regulations to assigned areas Safe driving skills and current valid driver's license required, Obtain "C" license within six months of hire All Health Department staff are required to be up to date on the Covid vaccination as determined by the CDC and IDPH, including all primary series doses and boosters, as a term and condition of employment with the Department. In addition, proof of all vaccines are mandatory for employment with the Health Dept., including the flu vaccine.
