This position combines strong organizational and administrative skills with a passion for relationship-building and service, ensuring that every donor, volunteer, alumnus, and community member has a positive experience with Cotting School. The Coordinator helps advance the school's mission by maintaining accurate constituent records, assisting with the coordination of events and helping to execute fundraising initiatives throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
Fundraising and Stewardship Manage gift processing and acknowledgment workflows to ensure timely, accurate donor stewardship. Generate tax receipts, gift acknowledgments, and personalized donor correspondence. Maintain accurate constituent records in the donor database, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Assist with donor stewardship activities, including impact reports and recognition, and donor communications. Assist with planning and the execution of the Annual Fund, Giving Tuesday, end-of-calendar-year, and end-of-fiscal-year campaigns. Prepare reports and gift summaries as needed. Alumni Relations & Event Coordination Oversee the production of the Cotting School Yearbook. Assist with planning school events, including, but not limited to, the Art Show and Play It Forward, alumni gatherings, and donor appreciation receptions. Other Cover for School Receptionist as requested.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of administrative experience, preferably within a school or non-profit setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality. Comfort learning new technology and database systems. Positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to support a variety of initiatives. Self-directed willingness to get to know school community members, especially students, and a genuine interest in the day-to-day work that goes on in all aspects of the school program. First aid/CPR certification, an approved Criminal Offender Record Information (C.O.R.I.) background check, fingerprint verification and a drug test. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, detail-oriented and enjoys building relationships. They are excited to get to know our students and the broader Cotting School community and understand the important role philanthropy plays in advancing Cotting's mission and expanding opportunities for our students.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is determined per individual employee agreement and is market-based and commensurate with experience. This position is an hourly, part-time position (20-24 hours per week) and is eligible for all employee benefits offered to similarly situated employees.
