Our work includes supporting nonprofit and community organizations with program coordination, research, fundraising initiatives, communications, organizational systems, data management, events, and other projects that help organizations operate more effectively. Position Overview AJ Media Consulting is seeking a Nonprofit Operations Intern interested in gaining hands-on experience supporting nonprofit and mission-driven organizations. This internship provides practical exposure to the behind-the-scenes work that keeps nonprofit organizations running effectively. Interns will assist with research, program support, fundraising initiatives, data organization, communications, administrative systems, and special projects. The position is ideal for students interested in nonprofit management, business operations, community impact, fundraising, program development, or organizational leadership . ResponsibilitiesNonprofit Research & Data Research nonprofit trends, community needs, and industry topics. Gather and organize data to support programs, campaigns, and organizational initiatives. Research funding opportunities, potential partners, sponsors, and community resources. Assist with compiling statistics and information for reports, presentations, and communications. Organize historical organizational data and records. Program & Organizational Support Assist with coordinating nonprofit programs and initiatives. Organize program materials, forms, resources, and documentation. Help maintain internal tracking systems and organizational records. Assist with collecting and organizing program participation and outcome data. Support special projects based on current organizational needs. Fundraising & Development Assist with fundraising campaigns and donor initiatives. Research prospective donors, sponsors, grants, and community partners. Help organize sponsorship and fundraising information. Assist with preparing campaign materials and supporting documentation. Research fundraising strategies and opportunities for nonprofit growth. Communications & Outreach Assist with drafting and organizing nonprofit communications. Research topics and resources relevant to nonprofit audiences. Help prepare materials for community outreach, programs, events, and campaigns. Organize contact lists and outreach information. Support communications with program participants, partners, volunteers, and community organizations as needed. Administrative & Project Support Organize files, spreadsheets, documents, and project information. Assist with creating and improving organizational processes and systems. Support event and program planning. Participate in brainstorming and project-planning activities. Assist with various administrative and operational projects based on current needs. Ideal Candidate This internship is ideal for a college student studying: Nonprofit Management Business Administration Marketing Communications Public Relations Psychology Sociology Social Work Public Administration Human Services Community Development Project Management Or a related field Candidates should be organized, dependable, curious, detail-oriented, and interested in supporting mission-driven organizations . Previous nonprofit experience is not required. Familiarity with Google Workspace, Canva, spreadsheets, research, data organization, or project management tools is helpful but not required.
