Inclusive Excellence StatementAdvertised Job SummaryThe College of Pharmacy is seeking to hire a Program Coordinator to join our Development team.

Under general supervision, reporting to the Senior Development for the College of Pharmacy, the Program Coordinator performs diverse responsibilities in support of the College of Pharmacy's fundraising and alumni relations initiatives. Performs clerical/administrative responsibilities related to gift processing, correspondence, deposits, gift agreements, scholarship awards, travel preparation, processing reimbursements and other duties as assigned. Provides ongoing support of the Senior Director of Development with a focus on prospect identification and research and preparing related reports from prospect management system. Coordinates stewardship plans for an assigned portfolio of donors and coordinates related stewardship projects and events. Supports a variety of special events throughout the year to include meetings, receptions and dinners. Works in tandem with donors and volunteers on college outreach and development initiatives. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Advanced writing, proofreading and copy-editing skills
  • Excellent basic accounting skills
  • Must possess excellent research skills with the ability to quickly analyze and synthesize complex data and information, creating related reports and confidential materials
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities against competing deadlines
  • Must be proficient in Excel and spreadsheets
  • Displays sound judgement, diplomacy, discretion and tact. Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 4 or more years of experience in development/advancement, constituent relations, sales or sales support, public relations, higher education, nonprofit organizations, or a related field
  • Familiarity with the University of South Carolina campus community, organizational structure, and administrative processes .
