This dynamic leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of center operations, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational programs. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for childhood development, strong management skills, and a strategic mindset to drive the center's growth and excellence. As a Center Director, you will be the driving force behind creating an engaging, inclusive, and compliant educational setting that nurtures both students and staff. Position Summary The Center Director leads the daily operations, enrollment growth, customer experience, and instructional team at a Code Ninjas learning center. This position combines business development, staff leadership, community outreach, and program oversight to create a fun, safe, and effective environment where children learn coding, robotics, and STEM skills. Key Responsibilities Manage daily center operations, including scheduling, opening and closing procedures, supplies, cleanliness, safety, and administrative tasks. Grow enrollment and revenue by responding to leads, conducting tours, following up with prospective families, and converting inquiries into memberships or camp registrations. Support families by answering questions, resolving concerns, communicating student progress, and maintaining a welcoming customer experience. Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise instructors, commonly known as Code Senseis, while providing coaching and performance feedback. Oversee instructional quality and ensure programs follow Code Ninjas curriculum, safety standards, and franchise procedures. Plan and promote programs, including after-school coding sessions, camps, clubs, birthday parties, workshops, robotics activities, and special events. Build community partnerships with schools, parent organizations, libraries, youth groups, and local businesses. Represent the center at school fairs, community events, demonstrations, and other outreach activities. Track business performance, including enrollment, attendance, retention, lead conversion, revenue, staffing, and customer satisfaction. Maintain compliance with applicable employment, child-safety, privacy, and franchise requirements. Strong leadership, organization, communication, and customer-service skills. Ability to build relationships with children, parents, employees, schools, and community partners. Comfort with sales conversations, lead follow-up, event promotion, and enrollment goals. Basic proficiency with scheduling, customer-management, email, spreadsheet, and point-of-sale systems. Interest in coding, gaming, robotics, or STEM education; advanced programming experience is generally helpful but not always required. Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, school breaks, and summer camps, depending on the center's schedule. Ability to pass any required background screening for working with minors. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education, business, marketing, computer science, or a related field. Previous experience managing employees or operating an education or enrichment center. Familiarity with youth learning, coding platforms, Minecraft, Roblox, robotics, or game development. Experience with local marketing, community outreach, membership sales, or customer retention. Typical Working Conditions This is generally an on-site leadership position in a fast-paced children's learning center. Center Directors regularly interact with families and students and may need to move equipment, prepare activity areas, and attend off-site community events. Join us to lead a thriving educational community where innovation meets compassion! We are committed to empowering our leaders to make a lasting impact on young learners' lives through dedicated service, strategic visioning, and exemplary management practices.
