The Admissions Receptionist is a highly responsible position that requires administrative, organizational, communication, and data entry skills. The position involves high level communication, courteous and effective service to staff, students, and the public.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet over the phone Prospective Students. Lead accurate, informative, positive, and honest tours and information sessions for Prospective students and their families. Review Prospective student's applications for eligibility. Monitor Prospective Student's activity at every stage of the process-inquiring application, application follow-up, acceptance and/or other admission requirements. Represent the Institute at on and off site events; advising Prospective Students and related individuals. Responsible for Interviewing Prospective Students with ITA Voucher before enrollment. Responsible for setting up Welcoming Activities during Orientation. Responsible for conducting Orientation to familiarize new students with MCI campus, Instructors, Staff, and Job Placement. As well as providing information to students regarding policies and procedures. Responsible for counseling and assisting current students and parents. Monitors Admissions Supplies. Responsible for ordering Safety Supplies for New Enrollees. As well as books. Responsible for Prospects for Upcoming database. Responsible for Receiving Student's Tuition Payments. Responsible for approving student's early dismissals or additional practice. Responsible for demonstrating knowledge, skills and abilities in working with faculty/staff and students with diverse backgrounds including academic, socioeconomic, cultural, sexual orientation, and disabilities. Responsible for attending required company training. Conducts special admission events, programs, and registration. Responsible for supervising and supporting Admission Staff during the Admission Process. Responds to other duties as assigned. Follows Company policy regarding tracking key business statistics to ensure accurate record keeping of travel, visits and inquiries.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PUBLIC CONTACT
Daily Contact requiring courtesy, discretion, professional appearance and sound judgment.
REQUIRED/DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. An Associates degree is preferred. Secretarial or clerical skills required. At least one year of previous experience in a college setting or human resources is preferred, but not required. Sales experience preferred but not required.
