$25-$30/hour - 15-20 hours per week/60 hours per month
Schedule:
Self-managed. Will require some evening and weekend hours for meetings and events. When the Meyer Art Center is built, or if we use a temporary art center beforehand, office hours will be expected.

Executive Director Position Summary:
The Programming Coordinator helps enact the Meyer Art Center's 3 Year Vision and Strategic Plan during a pivotal period of organizational growth as the Meyer Art Center prepares to build its flagship building - a stunning 13,000 sq. ft. arts center in the heart of historic downtown Stanwood. The role is both developmental and administrative, helping develop Programming processes and procedures, helping launch our online content, coordinating Afternoon of the Arts, and administering classes -- all of which are at the heart of our mission to build community by art. Working closely with the Executive Director and the Programming Team in a small, collaborative environment, the Programming Coordinator will help establish the Programming systems, processes, and culture that will flourish in the new Meyer Art Center.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate art education programming Manage email communication. Lead the Programming Committee through a monthly meeting to achieve 3-year strategic plan. Plan, organize, staff, and monitor Meyer Art Center art education programs. Ensure art classes are updated on website and information is shared with Marketing Coordinator. Meet with and hire teachers, including completing onboarding paperwork, background checks, etc. Administer programming grants Develop and maintain a relationship with the Stanwood Camano School District, as well as individual schools, principals, and teachers, growing the Afternoon of the Arts program. Work with the Grant Administrator/Donor Development Coordinator to produce programming grant reports. Meet with the Finance team monthly to finalize the previous month's finance and budget. Managing Volunteer Recruitment and Coordination Manage volunteer software, including posting and monitoring volunteer shifts. Match volunteer skills and interests to appropriate volunteer positions. Complete onboarding paperwork and background checks. Coordinate volunteers during the Meyer Art Festival. Coordinating Meyer Art Center Participation in events and outreach Assist Executive Director to coordinate Meyer Art Festival. Facilitate outreach of the Mobile Art Center. Facilitate strong relationship with Meyer Art Center Partners through outreach at their events, recruitment to help at MAC events.
Qualifications:
Required Associate's or bachelor's degree in Art, Education, Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field - or equivalent professional work experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. Comfortable learning and working with new software platforms (Webflow, Square, etc). Experience with social media management for an organization or brand. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a small staff environment. Genuine enthusiasm for the arts, community, and nonprofit sector. Preferred Art Education Experience. Experience with managing people, developing processes. Prior experience in a nonprofit, arts, or community organization setting. Familiarity with the Stanwood-Camano community and its values.
Licenses and Certifications:
Must have a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle records. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with a high level of professionalism. Regular, reliable attendance is required, along with adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Employment is contingent on passing a WSP background check.
