QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Appropriate teaching certificate as issued by the State of Arizona to include appropriate vocational certification and endorsements. Have knowledge, skill and or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Utilize, with fidelity, the District Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) program at the building level. Ensure information obtained through the course of duties associated with this position is held in the highest of confidentiality. Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies; including mandatory reporting procedures.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
The teacher demonstrates an understanding of the curriculum, subject content, and the developmental needs of students by providing relevant learning experiences. The teacher plans using the state's standards, the school's curriculum, data, and engaging and appropriate strategies and resources to meet the needs of all students. The teacher uses a variety of research-based instructional strategies relevant to the content area to engage students in active learning, to promote key skills, and to meet individual learning needs. The teacher systematically gathers, analyzes, and uses relevant data to measure student progress, guide instructional content and delivery methods, and provide timely feedback to students, parents, and stakeholders. The teacher uses resources, routines, and procedures to provide a respectful, positive, safe, student-centered environment that is conducive to learning. The teacher maintains a commitment to professional ethics, collaborates and communicates appropriately, and takes responsibility for personal professional growth that results in the enhancement of student learning. The work of the teacher results in acceptable, measurable, and appropriate student progress.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The Classroom Teacher reports to the site administrator. The Classroom Teacher will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT VIEW TEACHER INITIAL WAGE PLACEMENT PLAN SUPPLEMENTAL
Classroom Site Fund - $10,000 annual or prorated based on start date!
