Part-Time Social Studies Teacher - Grades 7-12 Tri-Township Jr./Sr.

Approximately 10:15 a.m.-2:45 p.m.
Start Date:
Following the first nine weeks of the 2026-27 school year Position Description Tri-Township Jr./Sr. High School is seeking a Part-Time Social Studies Teacher to join our team following the first nine weeks of the 2026-27 school year. This position offers a consistent part-time daily schedule and the opportunity to teach both middle and high school students in a small-school environment. Teaching Assignment The anticipated teaching assignment includes: 7th Grade Social Studies 8th Grade Social Studies High School Geography Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Plan and deliver engaging social studies instruction aligned with Indiana Academic Standards. Create a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom environment. Assess student learning and use results to guide instruction and provide additional support when necessary. Build positive relationships with students and staff. Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement and schoolwide goals. Maintain appropriate classroom and student records. Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff. Perform other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position. Qualifications Appropriate Indiana teaching license or ability to obtain appropriate licensure. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom-management skills. Ability to effectively teach both middle and high school students. Commitment to student learning and building positive relationships. Retired educators, educators seeking a part-time schedule, and qualified candidates interested in returning to the classroom are encouraged to apply.
