Phonology Department of English at Central Connecticut State University seeks a part-time Lecturer in Applied Linguistics with a focus on Phonology (graduate)
Required Qualifications :
  • PhD or ABD in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, or a related field
  • Evidence of focus on Phonology (in research or teaching)
  • Evidence of experience teaching at the university level
  • Ability to teach day and evening classes in person
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Evidence of interest and/or professional engagement in Multilingualism and Second Language Acquisition
  • Evidence of quality teaching experience
  • Evidence of interest in issues related to decolonizing curricula
Responsibilities:
    Instruction:
    o Introduction to Phonology (3 cr., graduate, evening); required o Introduction to Linguistics (3 cr., undergraduate, day); optional
    • Participation in department meetings (twice per semester); required In accordance with the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Collective Bargaining Union Contract, compensation for the Adjunct position can be found in Article 12.
