Job Description:
The Humanities Department at Onondaga Community College is currently inviting applications from qualified applicants to teach Elementary and Intermediate Spanish.
Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should demonstrate fluent and accurate command of Spanish as well as knowledge of culture and language pedagogy. Master's degree in Spanish or a Master's degree from an accredited university, college or foreign equivalency in a related field with 18 credits in Spanish.
For native speakers:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, college or foreign equivalency in Spanish or a related field with 18 credits in Spanish. Preference will be given to those with experience teaching at a community college.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered.
Additional Information:
Adjunct rate of pay for the 26/27 academic year is $1,527/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment. Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
