Full Job Description JOB Lincoln City Libraries:
Bennett Martin branch - The Bennett Martin branch of Lincoln City Libraries is seeking a Youth Librarian to join our team. This is a full time (40hrs per week) position and will include day, evening, and weekend hours. This position will work in cooperation with Youth Services to create fun, educational, and engaging programming for our young patrons. Outreach will be a strong point of focus to attract new youth patrons and their families as well as ensuring current patrons continue to have the ability to access new and exciting events. As a Youth Librarian you will participate in collection development and circulation. Other duties include providing support for public service staff. This support will include occasions in which you are the final point of contact for patrons with concerns or complaints. You will also provide staff support by coordinating urgent maintenance requests with our building superintendent and contractors. If you love sharing your passion for reading, helping others, making connections, and designing and providing engaging activities that help young people develop their creativity, interests, and talents, this is the job for you! Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university supplemented by a Master's Degree in an ALA-accredited library science program, and two years of experience in a library or customer service setting; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
