Job Description

POSITION

Elementary Library Media Specialist

RESPONSIBLE TO

Superintendent and Building Principal

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Creating a flexible class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establishing effective rapport with pupils; motivating pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for preparation for college, careers, and citizenship, in accordance with each pupil's ability; establishing good relationships with parents and with other staff members; other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Master's degree from four-year college or university and valid Library Media certification.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Regular attendance following a designated work schedule; must be able to work extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by position responsibilities; must be able to attend and participate in meetings and conferences scheduled.

STARTING DATE

Beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.
