Serving students, educators, and communities, iSPACE offers innovative programs and experiences that inspire and empower the next generation of STEM leaders. We seek a confident educator to lead engaging after-school math remediation and enrichment programs. Job Description Join the iSPACE team as a Making Mathletes Instructor! We are seeking part-time educators to lead engaging after-school math remediation and enrichment programs for 2nd and 4th grade students in Northern Kentucky schools. Programs meet between 3:00-6:00 PM and run for up to 20 weeks per school. Instructors travel to partner schools and to iSPACE (in Evendale, Ohio) for training and supply pickup. This position includes mileage reimbursement and opportunities to expand into leading or assisting in additional school, evening, and weekend STEM programs around the Greater Cincinnati region. This position reports to the Education Director (Kim Allaire).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engaging, hands-on lessons using the provided LEGO ® elements, iSPACE curriculum, and instructional materials to encourage mathematical thinking, teamwork, and perseverance.
Differentiate instruction to support a wide range of student abilities and learning styles.
Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for students with a wide range of abilities and learning styles .
Build positive relationships with students while using positive behavior management strategies and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Arrive on time and prepared with program materials and supplies.
Communicate with school staff, iSPACE staff, and families in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Maintain accurate and complete program documentation.
Collaborate with fellow instructors, assistants, classroom teachers, and program managers.
Communicate scheduling changes, concerns, program needs, and feedback promptly.
