Job Summary Bethany Middle School is seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Middle School Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and the school curriculum. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback and support. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and academic expectations. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in mathematics education. Collaborate with fellow educators to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that enhance the overall educational experience. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior. Support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through real-world applications of mathematics. Contribute to the school community through participation in meetings, committees, and school events. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Valid state teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school. Proven experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level is preferred. Strong understanding of middle school mathematics curriculum and instructional strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction and student learning. Passion for teaching and a desire to inspire students to achieve their full potential in mathematics.
